ebook usernames & passwords
Hi Everyone, as we continue to add ebooks to your collection we are trying to apply consistent usernames and passwords, as well as streamline access through from different vendors. I hope my question makes sense, I'm coming off of gorgeous Columbus Day weekend.

I totally feel your pain! We are really feeling platform fatigue, too. Have streamlined our user names and passwords as best we can... Ran across a possible solution at the AASL National Conference that I plan to explore - Makin is offering a single platform called Via, and is saying that they will grandfather in your current content. They will host eBooks and databases from several publishers... One username, one password. The catch? You then have to purchase any new content from them.

You can test drive it here. I have not purchased any books yet, but I am defiantly looking into it. I do like that multiple students can read an ebook at a time.

Mansfield University Scholarship Program – Begin in January 2012
In an ongoing effort to recruit a new generation of school library leaders, Mansfield University recently received a fifth Institute of Library and Museum Services (IMLS) grant to fund scholarships for its totally online School Library & Information Technologies Master of Education degree program with school library certification. If you know of an educator or non-certified librarian seeking school library certification, please pass along the news that we are still accepting applications for the spring 2012 semester.

with no time to drive to a university, offers a convenient and effective path to school library certification.
