Help ! Bright Ideas needed for bookmark design..
Every once in a while we get the first form (boys aged 11 ish) to partake in a competition to design our bookmarks. This year, we (the librarians) haven't been able to come up with an idea as of yet...
Does anyone have any ideas,...??

Hi there Tracy,
Thanks for your suggestion, we did consider sport, but with the 2012 Olympics taking place here in the UK, we thought we would probably leave that theme till then.

Use the search box to connect with fellow member Margriet Ruurs. This Canadian author has Int'l Bookmark project on the go all this year.
It matches almost exactly an idea I was doing already just with my own students, so I am now planning to participate in the bigger concept.

Mansfield University Scholarship Program – Begin in January 2012
In an ongoing effort to recruit a new generation of school library leaders, Mansfield University recently received a fifth Institute of Library and Museum Services (IMLS) grant to fund scholarships for its totally online School Library & Information Technologies Master of Education degree program with school library certification. If you know of an educator or non-certified librarian seeking school library certification, please pass along the news that we are still accepting applications for the spring 2012 semester.
The Master of Education program, ideally suited for working educators
with no time to drive to a university, offers a convenient and effective path to school library certification.
