Library Facebook Page

Does anyone have a facebook page for their high school library?

What challenges did you face? How did you sell it to your administration?

Permalink Reply by Suzanne Dix on October 7, 2009 at 7:47pm: We have one for our high school. In fact right now I'm running a contest to get students to "become a fan" by October 15.
3 names will be drawn at random to win gift certificates to Borders, iTunes and Starbucks. My administration is completely on board with it. We do have a school-wide policy that social networking sites are not allowed to be checked in school so joining our page needs to happen outside of school hours. I'm happy with the results and it is a way to reach high school students with library-related news. You're welcome to check out our page. We're Caravel Academy Library.; ▶ Reply to This

I saw your post and was inspired to make my own page for my middle school library.
