Dave is Brave is being auctioned at the KU Starting Points Macarthur Charity Auction in Nobember. This group was set up to support children with disabilities and their families. If you know of any similar events, then we would be happy to donate a copy of the Dave is Brave pack.

We use it at a university level and it works well - though there are always minor problems and students are getting better at "getting around" the system. As with anything, humans need to monitor what the program spits out :)

This grabs the child's attention - it interests and engages them. Colourful and clear pictures mean that the child does not have to be concentrating on the book to have their eye attracted to it. Colour and cla...
You're right. I've been crazy busy. I just got assigned an artist & am very excited. Would you be willing to do an interview on my blog?
This is how it works,
"If so, send a request to Aday at author(at)jadaykenned(dot).com. All requests require a Word document or pdf. Aday is a legally blind quadriplegic. She can't hold or see well enough to read a book. Picture books are the only exception. A hard copy can be sent.
All requesters of reviews, interviews and book marketing brainstorms are asked to donate a hard copy of their book. All books are donated to a small library in Lindale, Texas.
This is not required. When my blog reaches 500+ hits per day, it will become a requirement. Your review will not be affected positively or negatively by choosing not to donate.
My goal is to donate 100+ books a year. My nose was stuck in a book as a child. I'd haveread this library's inventory in one or two summers. Your donations will be appreciated.

TWO POSTS WILL BE MADE.
POST 1: It consists of the Interview, Book Cover jpeg, Author Bio & Book Blurb.
POST 2: Usually posts 2-3 days later. It consists of the Book Cover jpeg, Book Blurb Review & Book Marketing Brainstorm"

Hi Amanda,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.
Hi Amanda,
I am gradually building up my picture-book collection, mainly as bait for my reluctant readers. I am in a boys' primary school where sport is KING!!! so I have many tricks going to entice & encourage, I have found that the potential good readers get hooked & then move on to something else, while the more reluctant chaps are at least reading something.I am thrilled that picture books are finding such acceptance now, they accounted for hours of pleasure when I was a child! Good to hear from you, cheers,
penny
I am a tutor/lecturer teaching undergraduate teachers about working with children with disabilities. I have worked in early childhood settings, schools, after school care and community services.
My current project is writing a series of children's books that can be used to support values education in schools, preschools and in homes.
