Thanks for your comments.To make the animated characters I use a combination of software. I film the kids reading their reviews and then I use only the audio. I then have them draw a self-portrait. I photograph that and do some conversion in Photoshop. Then I use a program called "Crazy Talk" to do the basic animation. I can then add the sound, background and special effects in my editing program: Vegas Video. You can get some satisfying results using just Crazy Talk and i'm sure there are other ways to do it.
