I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.
Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

I just tried your xml for Burnt Hills on my iGoogle page. Sorry for the delay, but I have to admit it took me a minute or two or ten to figure how to add an RSS feed to the page, but I learned something new. Thanks! I love it!
p.s. I tried Jing at home and my network connections at work can't support the speed necessary to load. A bummer since I do so much at home. My tech support bought Camtasia and SnagIt from the Jing people and loaded it on my machine at work. Love it. Have made a movie for my book group on how to download our book for January from NetLibrary. So cool.
One area I'm still investigating is authentic assessment. I'd like my class to be as paperless as possible, with grades dependent on participation (a minimum number of blog entries?) and projects.
Any suggestions?
Diane
Did you know that Joyce Valenza is coming to speak to members of our School Library System next Fall? Can't wait to hear her (the virtual world is wonderful, but I'm an old-fashioned girl who also likes real time, real place contact.)
Take a look at my blog and leave a comment, if you're so inclined. Have a glorious Fourth!
Diane
