I'll write at another time...but I'm going to try to Get Things Done, listen to Nancy Pearl's book reviews, and lots of emailing folks that I met! I loved the dove bars! More later...

Though we are high school librarians, we are trying to do more with assessment, especially with the 8th grade data collection as per NCLB. Does anyone know if the NCLB data is based on the ISTE standards or the AASL standards? Allison Zmuda was a great choice for a speaker--I'd love to find an RSS of some of her work. And pump it throughout the school. Anyone else?

I really enjoyed the keynote by Nancy Pearl. It was a shot in the arm!

Handouts from the conference are now available. My absolute favorite was Allison Zmuda. Her presentation is also available here.

Nancy,

Thank you for linking the handouts. I heard people speaking about the Zmuda presentation and regretted missing
it. I heard comments such as "she really gets it". I knew I'd missed something. I just completed a cooperative collaboration. The spanish teacher and myself learned a lot from the experience. I followed previous outlines and
examples that I've picked up at past CLIC, AVRLSS, and CEMA conferences. We had division on responsibilities, rubrics, incorporated tech and library standards etc. Motivation was an issue for kid that are tech savvy - they had
better programs at home to create the finished product. I think it would not have bothered me - if they would have just used their research time in the library. Whoa of topic - anyway I will go through the handout again and think about the
suggestions. She really hit on several issues of collaboration that have not changed over the years.
