This week in my course we are discussing time management, and I was wondering how each of you manage your time when it comes to managing your online school library resources, and if you use technology to help perform your duties more efficiently? Also, give one great tip for time management as a school librarian.

thanks for your thoughts :)

Great question Tammy!
It is easier to manage the library resources than managing my duties! Yikes! We use google docs (teachers log in) to schedule our 3 labs, library and equipment. For the most part that works pretty well.

For me, I work from project to project. I schedule my teaching, then sometimes go looking for work or meet with teachers for planning. It is so hard, because you can count on being interrupted in the middle of anything. So a one hour project can take all day. My best tip- get a good clerk and hire/train great volunteers. Then- begin to let go some of the things you do so you can concentrate on projects that will make the most difference for kids.

What do you others think? :)
