Hey Amy-
Are you still in Somerville? We have an elementary school librarian position open in the district right now. Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you some contact info.

Hi AMY. I thought you left me a comment, but for some reason it's not showing up on my comment wall! Hmm... Anyway, how's the semester coming along? What are you taking - I am dying to know!! By the way, I was somewhere recently (grocery store maybe?) and somebody named "ulysses" was getting paged over the PA system. I was like, "OMG, somebody ELSE is named Ulysses!" The end.

My big project involved working with one of the high school science teachers to create a list of recommended print and electronic resources to support a new class in Marine Biology. The whole thing took about 4 months but I really enjoyed it. I also did a semi-large project at Chelmsford, locating websites for a 5th grade women authors biography project and putting all the links on the school library's website. For some of the authors who also wrote books for an older audience (like Laurie Halse Anderson) it was hard to find age appropriate links. Again, another time consuming but enjoyable project. I hope that you have a positive experience at both of your placements!

Hi Amy,
I'm doing great. This summer I'm working on my lesson plans for WSNS. Somerville posts the district's Curriculum guide online so I've been going through it looking for neat ways to link the library to classroom curriculum- sound familiar? Where will you be for your practicums? Dan F. was my advisor for both of my placements!! I was at Westford Academy high school and McCarthy Middle School in Chelmsford. I hope you are enjoying your summer!
