I cannot choose just one book in any category - words nourish my moods - I am seldom without a collection of many near armchairs and bedside.

Best Children's - Poor Puppy (delightful sequel to the hilarious ABC book Bad Kitty)
Best YA - King Dork (A humourous mystery set in high school. I haven't laughed out loud so many times reading a book since reading Lamb)
Graphic Novel - Emily the Strange: Chairman of the Bored (awesome illustrations and characterization that totally captures emo/goth students)
Adult Fiction - Cinnamin Kiss (I love the way blends black history with social commentary in a intriguing dectective story)
Adult Non Fiction - It's all too Much (an how-to organization book by TLC's Peter)
Guilty Pleasure - Princess Mia (Love the pop culture references along with teen angst.

I am a HUGE historical fiction fan! I try to read as much of it as possible during my "free" time. Above are my most recent answers, maybe not my all-time favourites. Really do love the brilliant first two works of Khaled Hosseini - Kite Runner and Thousand Splendid Suns.
