A community for teacher-librarians and other educators

Normally I don't have this problem.  I send out teacher requests for purchases and get more requests than I have money to spend.  This year, due to upcoming pink slips, I have had one request totally 200.00 and I have 4000 to spend.

I want to add some cool curricular items to the library.  It is my hope/dream to have items to support project based learning in Science areas that will spread into the real world.

-something like colonization of planet x - can be environment, poverty, education, etc...

I would also appreciate any NEW items for: middle ages, renaissance.

Thanks everyone.

Although this doesn't apply to science, one area for $$ would be to add the audio books or playaways in books that are being used in the curriculum - auditory learners, ESL students and support students benefit from the option of hearing the book used for class discussion.
