If you work at a school that uses Response to Intervention, please read on.
Please forgive duplicate invitations to participate in this survey.
Response to Intervention (RtI) is a school-wide three-tiered model of instruction and instructional intervention. It has been practiced for a number of years in a limited way in special education programs and school-wide in some districts. It incorporates data-driven decision making, research-based instructional strategies, student-centered personalized instruction, and a high level of collaboration among school personnel to meet the instructional needs of individual students.
RTI is a component of the No Child Left Behind legislation and is supported in schools with funds from IDEA. It is a required component of the Federal Race to the Top grant program.
Little is available in the research literature about the role school librarians play in RTI schools. With this study we will seek to discover more about how RtI is being implemented and the role of school librarians in K-12 schools where RTI is practiced.
Researchers in the Library Science and Information Services program at the University of Central Missouri would like to know if you are using Response to Intervention (RtI) in your school. If so, please answer four questions about your role in this initiative. By taking this survey, you give us consent to use your information in our research. No personally identifiable information will be included in reports from this research. You may contact the researchers at 660-543-8633. Ask for Dr. Antrim.
This survey is available at http://www.ucmo.edu/surveys/?formID=4906 . Thank you for participating in our survey!
