Joyce et. al.,

I was reading something from Joyce's blog recently, and she mentioned that she has USB flash drives kids can check out.  I'm interested in learning more about this process, such as funding, a policy if available, and how big they are (i. e. 1 gig?  512 MB?  2 gig?).  I'm also keen on the idea of getting some e-book readers for my library, which has been in the back of my brain for a couple of years, but I'm not sure where to begin, otehr than a LMC article from this past fall.  Any grants out there for this sort of thing?  Just curious.

We have 3 thumb drives that we lend out to the students. The boys mainly use them here is the library to transfer their papers from their Macs to our PCs. The three we have are 2GB.
