Spreading the Word

This past Thursday was the last day of my School Library Media Center course at GSLIS (590 SML) taught by Janie Schomberg. While I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I finish a course, and I always feel it's important to move on to learning new things, I am really sad that this course has ended.

There was great energy in this course with students sharing ideas, information, and hopes and aspirations. The topics were practical, engaging, and thought provoking. It's like there is this empty space within my intellectual self that this class once filled.

It occurred to me that I feel this way each time a course ends. How do we fill the wholes left after a great class ends? I think it is important that we all continue to keep in touch and share our accomplishments, ideas, and support, and this is a great forum to do just that. So, if you get a chance, pass along the link for this forum to all GSLIS alum and soon to be graduates so we can start to build our membership here.
