Teaching in China, I often find web-based applications (2.0 and more) as well as many websites are blocked and cannot  be accessed without using a proxy or vpn., and our school administration is not in favor of us using them...

My colleagues and I are  often frustrated in our goal of bringing 21st century skills and resources to our teaching practice because of this situation. There are so many wonderful applications and electronic resources "out there" and I want my students (and my colleagues!) to gain proficiency in using them in an academic setting.

Do any of you face similar problems, and if so, will you please share your suggestions, comments, ideas, encouragement, etc.?

I look forward to hearing from you.

 Best Regards,

Terry McCarthy

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for joining the EARCOS Teacher Librarian group. I'm hoping that we can use this forum to get to know each other a bit better before the conference and to start to identify some topics of discussion that we might want to pursue as a group at the Job-Alike Session.

Feel free to start a discussion topic above. I have added a few that are of interest to me.

See you in a few weeks!

Michelle
