Please let me know if you have any talking points I could use to talk my administration out of sharing me between the high school and the middle school. It may start out as a 'temporary' situation, but it certainly sets a precedent I don't want to establish! I believe academics trumps finances, but how to I convince them?

I faced a similar situation last year, when there was a question about whether a retiring librarian in our 2 librarian high school would be replaced and whether our library clerk would be retained. At my principal's request, I compiled a list of talking points and statistics that produced the desired result. It's several pages in length and includes citations for sources. This was infinitely helpful! Thank you! It turned out to be very temporary for now (one week) and didn't interfere with my HS student contact (I 'volunteered' before and after school -- the MS principal just wanted to make sure 'books got into the hands of children.')
