Wondering if there are any TCK (third culture kid) librarians in the international schools. I am a public children's librarian firmly entrenched in staying State-side, thankyouverymuch but would love to talk about TCK issues in librarianship and how kids could be served both by programming and books, overseas and here in the US (or wherever their home base happens to be.)

I came back to the US in 7th grade after having spent all of grade school in international schools. (Where I had wonderful teacher-librarians, btw.) And I experienced HUGE culture shock. I'm hoping to develop programming that would be useful for kids moving overseas and for kids returning "home." I've been looking for something, anything, but I haven't found any resources, just bits here and there. (I'd be happy to share what I have found.)

If you want to chat, stop by my page. (or I guess here, since I just opened this discussion.)
