Library Summer Camp

For those of us with library techs or other library personnel, I wanted to give you a heads-up that CSLA Region 3 will be hosting Library Summer Camp again this year for paraprofessionals. It will be on August 5 at Selma High School.

I think it is an excellent opportunity for new and not-so-new paras to:

a. learn new skills; and
b. network with other paraprofessionals.

My part-time tech mentioned that she attended last summer. She found some of it useful, but felt that it was geared mostly to the elementary level. She would like to see more offered at the high school level.

I'm not sure who to direct this too, but all of my district techs (all 3 of them!) said that they would like to have an opportunity to learn more about booktalking and book repair (especially for textbooks).

I'm willing to present a session at the high school level if needed...
