About Me:
This is my first year in as a teacher librarian. Previously I taught English, drama, study skills and AVID to middle school students in the San Lorenzo school district.

I grew up on the south side of Chicago where I was a regular at the local library branch. I was also a very committed helper to Mrs. Clark, the librarian at Vanderpoel Elementary School.

I got my undergraduate degree in English and philosophy from the University of Illinois, Master's degree in rhetoric and teaching from the University of North Carolina and a law degree from Columbia University. I am presently working on my MLIS at San Jose State University.
I practiced law for twenty years in the areas of real estate, tax and estate planning before becoming a full time educator.

Anything a little odd about this quote? Lee's big brother explains why they are moving: "We have to. If we live in a big house like this, we have to have plenty of horses in the stable. We must have plenty of men to work in the fields. We must have plenty of servants wot work i the kitchen and in the house. All of that costs a lot of money. And Father has lost his money."
There's more . . .
