Name of Your School / Library / Organization:: Hello! I currently teach at Flagstone Elementary in Castle Rock. I work in both our school library and tech lab. We're year round - 7 weeks in!

A random tid bit about myself...I'm deathly afraid of heights. My profile picture was taken during a backpacking trip in Yosemite. I remember being so afraid of falling that I had to crawl out to the edge to take a peak. Totally worth it! The view was awesome! This school year reminds me a little of this experience. A mix of fear and excitement rolled into one.

I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
