Faculty Meeting Presentation: Overview of Librarian

I've been invited to do a presentation at our monthly faculty meeting of a basic overview of my role in the school and probably a market of my skills and tools for teachers.

I don't think the school has either had before or taken advantage of having a teacher librarian, so most of the faculty don't quite know what I can do for them (though I've been marketing myself to them as much as I can).

So does anyone have examples and ideas to help me have a good presentation? I have some ideas, but I'm not quite sure how to hit everything in the "about me and my job" presentation. I am in a high school, though our job descriptions aren't hugely different between grades.

Hi Chelaine,

You might be able to adapt this for your staff:

Good luck!

Chelaine, I just checked out the link that Doug sent to you and I think he has touched on so much of what we as school librarians do. Borrow his ideas and put them in your own words/presentation.
I echo Lou and Doug's thoughts, we happily wear many hats, do many things at once and make it appear effortless. If you can bring the excitement you have about collaborating with your teacher friends to this meeting, you will do just fine. Good luck!
