This is a group open to all librarians but specific to international school librarians. Since we usually don't have a district or neighboring schools to rely on, let's create our own network here.
I'm curious, from an author's standpoint, what teachers and librarians hope for when an author comes to visit the classroom.
Do you wish mostly for inspiration? Entertainment? Academic info?

- About Me:
- I was born in Cuba and received my B.A. in Spanish and Comparative Literature from the University of California, Riverside. I have worked extensively with children of all ages in scholastic and cultural events as well as in theater. I live with my husband, Guillermo, and we have three marvelous children: Ismael, Talia Alina and Ludim. We are also the proud grandparents of our first grandchild Ariel Cruz Retana.
I am an author of seven published bilingual children’s books and the owner and publisher of High Desert Productions, a small independent press located in Bisbee, Arizona. I am also a literary presenter for students, teachers, librarians, and parents. I enjoy doing school visits along with one of my illustrators, Pat Pollock Rhoads. I believe that a book is a passport to any place or any period in time.
