Reflections on the Year

Hi group! Sorry I have been silent for so long, but I am finishing up my first year teaching full-time in a new school and what a BUSY year it has been! I'd love to hear about how your year went and any new ways you have embraced 21st Century Skills and/or technology to showcase your library and all we do as library media specialists! In today's economic climate with increasing budget cuts, now more than ever, SLMSs have to advocate for both their libraries and their positions. I am in the process (well, actually I'm going to wait until the end of June, since I still have a lot to do at work!) of putting together pictures to make either a video, Photostory, or Animoto of the year in my library, showcasing the projects the kids have done with me and the programs I've run or been involved in. I intend to post it on my library website and I'll share it here when I'm done. Do you have anything you want to share?
