TLNing (teacherlibrarian.org)

A community for teacher-librarians and other educators

I've just begun reading Will Richardson's "Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts..." and really want to amp up my tech tools for next school year. For the past few days, my blog at edublogs has been unavailable for editing. The site assures users that their blogs are preserved - somewhere - but doesn't give any specifics on when things will return to normal. At this point, I'm considering copying and pasting my posts into another blog (I'm trying to compile an online record of professional development and a curriculum planning blueprint). Does anyone have information about what's going with the edublog site?

Maybe their support team was also at NECC! It sounded wonderful; I hope to get to the one in San Antonio next year.
I'm happy at blogspot and like their graphic options better. (I'm so leery of copyright issues that I've been uploading my own photos to complement my blogs!)
Thanks for the kind words.

Diane,

This happened another time they changed servers, though generally they are very stable.

I was very frustrated, though--because we were at the NECC conference when it went down, trying to blog the event! And it finally started working right after NECC ended, so the timing was terrible.

I understand your frustration!

Even though edublogs seems to be up and running again, their unexplained "issues" made me skittish. I copied my old posts and have relocated to blogspot

where I'll continue my Journeys.
Please visit, if you get a chance!
