Over the summer, I started using Scoop.it as a way to organize news and information related to Young Adult Books. I love that they use the term 'curators' to describe their topic moderators; you really do curate the stories, selecting and discarding news items based on relevance to the topic.

Users can follow your topic, subscribe to an RSS feed, share your topic on Facebook and Twitter, and even suggest an item for moderation.

Scoop.it is still in beta, and membership is by invite only (but they approved me, so they aren't picky). But I'm hoping they go widespread soon, because it really is a handy (and fun) way to keep track of a favorite topic.
