Is anyone besides me checking out iPads in their library?

We have a pilot program for kindergarten in our school but not in the library. Are you loading them with books? If so what kind? I,d like to know all the details!
I'm loading them with books that the kids request.  I have them think of two or three titles, in case their first choice is not available to check out.  I also encourage them to go to Amazon or Barnes and Noble to look for a book that they want to check out.  That way they know that what they want to check out is available as an ebook.  The check out period is one week.  I am also loading them with educational apps that I think they will like.  Each student who checks out an iPad has to bring home a permissions slip and have it signed by a parent.  The slip states that the student will adhere to the school district's technology acceptable-use policy and that the parent will pay the replacement cost if the iPad is damaged.  The form has to be turned in to the library upon check out.
I haven't heard of libraries doing that.  Do you have any details about it?

We have an Ipad cart which a classroom may use.  We are not checking them out individually for home use.

Are they just for a certain grade level, or are they available to all teachers?

Any grade level can check out-we are on 2 campuses going from pre-k to grade 12
Have you had any problems arise from checking them out to kids in k-3?
