Back to School

Our school year begins in two weeks and I am looking for ideas on displays for the beginning of the year. I would also like some ideas for beginning of school lesson plans. Thanks for your input.

I've done a display of what staff members have read with the heading - Adults Read Too! I also usually have a display dealing with math, history or science to support what is going on in the classroom. I've had a map of the city with labels of places in the city the students have heard about and they can see their neighborhood. Many of students don't get out of their neighborhood so it helps them visualize our area.
