Yes. This is going to happen with the workforce reduction and money that is pulled out of education. This was predicted well before Mr. Horn in the historical movement from an agricultural to manufacturing to service to information economy. What i...

I read this book this summer, and even sent a note to my superintendent and curriculum coordinator about it. I loved it and its ideas. But we're still tackling unblocking youtube and wikis, so I know they didn't bother delving past my e-mail. In a...

I'm on my way to fully read and absorb Horn's site. I do believe education is changing. I think we're in that painful phase of knowing it needs to change, seeing what needs to be done but trying to convince educators and administrators to move in ...

Megan, Doug's web page is very helpful. I have done similar surveys in the past. I have also run focus groups, asking similar questions. Although I have run blogs on other subjects, they should work as a means of getting feedback on usage and atti...

No, this doesn't have anything to do with rowdy kids. It's about the game-changing innovations in education that people such as Michael Horn predict will radically alter schools, especially high schools. http://www.michaelbhorn.com/ I recently we...

Hi John!
Thank you for your comments about controversial issues resources. I would like to try out the database you recommended. I'll look into it when I return. I'm in Geneva right now, which is certainly more like winter in CT than southern China. How much does the database cost per year? BTW, I am originally from Washington CT, a small town in the Northwest! Right now I am living in Shekou China on the mainland but near Hong Kong working as the Middle and High School Librarian at a school for expats with about 600 students. What is it like to work in CT in the education system? (I have only worked in VT and then Tunisia and now China in my career.)
Anyway, thank you for the feedback!
Mary Alice
