I'm finishing an article for Florida Media Quarterly about Social Networking for school library media centers. I'd like to include a visual or two. Do you have any ideas of what that might look like? I thought of taking some screenshots of "friends" on a network, but that might violate privacy. I've seen a few I like on the web and can email for permission to use one of them, but I'd like to create my own to show the connected nature of the tool...I'd welcome any ideas!!

I'd also welcome any stories about how you've used social networking with other professionals or created them for or with students or teachers!

TIA!

Donna Baumbach.

Hey Donna frequently I've seen people use the friend photos in Facebook, the friendwheel there too, but by far the most popular image I've seen associated with networks are connected dots--here's a few to look at--all from Flickrcc:

Oh I just blogged about SCASL setting up a ning last week too.
Thanks, Cathy.

Those are great...I'll give the editor some options. I appreciate your quick reply...I wanted to get this off before the holidays...

BTW, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
