Brian Selznick artistically blends his gift of words and his incredible illustrations to weave a tale that will stir the imagination. In the story a boy, named Hugo, is an orphan ( basically), living in the walls of a train station and doing the job his drunken uncle should be doing... taking care of the train station clocks. Maneta Deaton and Janene Gorham suggested that I join this ning. I am currently a member of the VSTE ning (http://vsteonline.ning.com/) and am happy to be a part of this network as well. The 2008-09 school year will be my debut as a library-media specialist! I am thrilled to have this opportunity to explore yet another aspect of teaching! My previous teaching experiences are classroom teacher, ITRT, adjunct professor at JMU and I even served a s a teacher's assistant for one year!
I anticipate having many questions and hope to collaborate often with all of the members in this ning! Have a great summer!
