About Me:
I teach Library Science at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. We do a great job preparing school librarians. I have written two books about technology, and have two more in the works. I love working with students and technology. My other interests are reading and photography. I also enjoy visiting and traveling with my singer/songwriter daughter, Emily Herring.

From one Marianne to the other Mary Ann, Greetings!! I had the priveledge of meeting you at the NEISD MLS Cohort offered the beginning of this school year and I was sold!! I started in January and I am presently taking the first LS courses 560 and 570. I am researching for the "Leaders in Librarianship," assignment in my LS570 course with Dr. Kuon. This assignment is asking us to become familiar with current and past leaders in library and information science. YOU are the first person that came to mind! Your accomplishments, enthusiasm, and use of technology are quite impressive and look forward to mastering the same in my career as a librarian. I look forward to seeing you again in the future and taking full advantage of the Ning experience. :o)
