- I am an elementary school librarian. I love finding ways of taking old, dull materials and making them relevant to my students. I use video extensively in my lessons. I believe that school librarians are in a unique positions as teachers and that we should take advantage of it!

HELP A TEACHER GET SOME TECHNOLOGY
My wife and I produced a video for the Interwrite Learning contest and lo and behold we are in the finals! This is a $15,000 contest to get her some badly needed technology for her classroom. Problem is we are in the public voting stage of the competition and up against much larger districts with a lot of voting power. Greetings Doug,
I'm Mike McQueen, teacher librarian and founder of http://www.GettingBoysToRead.com. Like many school districts, we are in a financial crises. Our school board recently proposed to eliminate ALL 20+ middle school teacher librarians and also cut all 90+ elementary schools to half time. Since we are the biggest district in all of Colorado, we worry this will cause other districts to follow suit. We launched an online movement and are going to do our best to put up a good fight.
