Hi everyone! I'm so excited to join this group and see what other TLs are doing around the country--what an awesome idea to get us all together!
I'm a K-3 Librarian in a small-ish Upstate NY school district--Chenango Forks. Looking forward to sharing and learning from all of you!

Hi Everyone!
You know I haven't visited here in awhile and I am AMAZED that we have 303 members in the group now!! So...what can we do as a group? What can we create together? Let's put the power of collaboration together. Let's think about how we can connect our projects, our students, our media centers! This weekend I am going to put up a survey to find out more about us and to help us make connections. In the meantime, happy holidays to all!

Hello, I'm new to the group, and glad that I found it! I'm a grad student at Northern Illinois University, working on my Master's in Educational Technology. I've been working as an elementary librarian (pre-K-5) since the Fall of 2007--a welcome and exciting change of career paths after teaching high school! I've participated in listservs, and always welcome the sharing of ideas. Tonight my thoughts have been on next week's observation of Lincoln's 200th birthday as I previewed my new Lincoln books. Is anyone planning any fun library lessons or activities?

Hello All! New to your network - so glad that I found it - love to have great brains to bounce ideas around! I am a K-2 media specialist (about to become K-1) of a fairly large, progressive school in Trussville, AL. I also serve as a Technology Team Leader for my school (among several other things, but that is our story, no? :) ) Looking forward to some great discussions.

I'm a freelance writer/educator with an education blog at: http://educationtipster.blogspot.com. I'm working on my first series of children's picture books and would like your feedback. I combine rhyme, illustrations and movement to teach math, phonics, days of the week, etc. I have some examples on my blog. Do you think there's a market for these books? I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks.

How do you circulate magazines in your lmc?

Summer Reading @ Brookline.docThis summer, my school requested that I come in two days a week on Thursdays and Fridays for three weeks and open the school library during summer school to read stories and check out books. I see this as great progress for my school. Because for so long the my school seemingly could not separate the library being opened and the librarian being available during summer school unless the librarian was assigned to teach a class in the same manner as a teacher.

I am interested in knowing what your summer expectations and experiences have been like at your school if your library was open at any point during the summer.

Please share activities that were done--like stories, songs, art projects, etc.
